Meh. Why do we think reading the paper on a Sunday morning is a nice, relaxing, comfort-thing?
...couldn't be more wrong.
Didn't find a single bit of good news there this morning. Europe hates us (and I don't blame them - damn, are we stupid sometimes. Any sort of treaty comes up, bam, nope, sorry, not interested, we want our comfort and to get rid of some people. land mines? yep, need those. what, they might hurt the wrong people? oh, no they won't, we're sure of it). HIV's now taking its run of Russia, on top of it being a huge problem in Africa. Israel's not letting fact-finding peace activists in. We're rambling on and on about how we're gonna kick Saddem's butt (tho, uh, it's been what, ten years, and we haven't pulled it off yet?). Terrible drought out west. Horrid living conditions in Fiji. Those two conjoined twins may or may not make it, and the doctors are having to fight Islamic viewpoint to try to seperate them. Japan's trying to implement a number-based id system, a lot of people are refusing to do it, the system has screwed up a ton of stuff already.
Gyah. ...what happened to my semi-patriotism? to my hope for mankind? ...*sigh*.....Bono's still got his work cut out for him. *half-smile*
