Wow. I've totally had like, the craziest, funnest Friday night yet! *laughs*
(Right, and now that Laurel's no longer speaking to me for my *utter* mutilation of the english language--! *g*)

But yeah. So, Jacquie's gone for the weekend (again), and having the room to myself and it being a weekend, decided I was gonna watch all my U2 vids (well, all the ones I have down here, anyway) tonight. Err, well, actually, before that, had to go to the Pep rally (cos Katie O' was in it), went out to dinner with Britt, Erin, and Laura first, then we all went over to that...meh. Some things don't change much from high school...much less organised, no forced cheering..just lots of cheesy/risque skits. *shrug*
The one thing that really pissed us off, tho? Yet *again*, they've *totally* misinterpreted Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Fortunate Son" (there's a commerical that does this, too). They're doing this whole "Proud to be an American" thing (who *isn't*), and they play this song. And I'm like, dude. This song is *not* pro-American!!! "Some folks were born made to fly the flag, yeah the red white and blue...It ain't me, I ain't no senator's son, It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate son.." How can you *not* get what it's saying?! *shaking head sadly* ...how can they not understand it?
But yeah. So, came back, put in Red Rocks..cried to Erin that my pause-thing sucks, I get lines and can't just pause and gaze on Larry's lovely face ;_; ...realised I oughta put some sort of message on my door, wrote "Watching U2 at Red Rocks", beneath that "beware of flooding"...then "Little Larry-kun! *drool*" ..*giggles*..I'm such a dork. *g* (Everyone else seemed amused by it, tho. *g*)
Watched that.
Put in ZooTV.
Watched that some...Britt returned, Laura with her...randomly popped over there some and stuff...then, I'm standing there, not even a foot away from the tv, gazing at the wonder that is Bono singing "Running to Stand Still" (..an *amazing* performance in that vid..incredible..)...and---
Blackness.
Complete.
Power was out.
"BONO!!!!"
*laughs* ..but it was *great* fun. We all fumbled about for flashlights and things...Britt pulled out her creepy light-up mirror (there's like, this skull that lights up behind the normally reflective surface...and it laughs evily. Very creepy, very cool. *g*), and yeah. She, Laura, and myself took it upstairs and tried to scare people. *g* (Didn't work, there were enough flashlights going..ah well.) Ended up going outside, was crazy windy, a little misty..*great* fun. ^_^ Went to Laura's dorm, so she could turn off her power strips and things -- every *other* dorm on campus at least had lights in the stairwells - *we* didn't. *pouts* ..actually, was much more fun that way. ^_^
Came back, few minutes later, power did too. *g*
Turned my cpu back on, punched the power button on the tv--nothing. "NO!!!" ..then I realised, it was plugged into the power strip I'd turned off..so, turned that on, tried again. "BONO!!!!" (*happily*, this time. *g*)
So, yeah. Watched that..Laura came in and watched some with me (she was hiding from Britt, Erin, and the random other people that invaded)...she was a little confused by Mackie, but I explained things reasonably well. *g*
Accidentally ignored multiple people on aim....gomen-nasai~~~~~! ;_;
Uhm, yeah. Then went across the hall and just hung out with people. Until..a few minutes ago. So I was all *social* tonight, it was kinda weird...*laughs* But it was fun, tho..Britt's a spazz, but she's awesome (she's the one all crazy into archeology, and has nearly as much music as I do ^_^), Erin seems all nice and quiet, but she spazzes too (and..I dunno..just, something she said, made me think of Blake..I know! I know! I'm sorry! I'm hung-up!!! *laughing* ..but she's doing math-stuff, too)..Laura is rather louder, and odd, too (uhm..she's into anime, not sure what all else offhand). *laughs* Great fun.
*yawn* Am soooooo tired, tho!!! *g*
..meh..so much for gettin' thru all my U2 vids, no *way* I can keep awake for the 2+ hours of PopMart, and nearly 2 hours of Elevation...hrm.
..tho they're watching movies across the hall, may end up there, too...*g*
