Just got back from seeing "8 Mile"...was actually pretty good. (Merani-chan, I don't know if I'm taking you to see it, tho..there's a bit that's a little sketchy..we'll see.) I don't know how, y'know, realistic or anything it is, I know nothing about that scene...but I liked the movie, anyway. Laur's gonna kill me for saying this, but... *barely audible* eminem's pretty. *coughs* *blushes* ...ok, so, pretty's not the word, but..he *is* good-looking. ^^;
And I still love "Lose Yourself"...awesome song.

Otherwise, haven't really done much today...
Went outside tonight to go over and see the current display up in Rockefeller...crazy stuff...I can't even think of the title of the show off the top of my head, but it's to do with the media and just the barrage of information that hits us incesently, and what we do with it, or don't do with it......thousands and thousands of paper boats made of newspaper and all this other crazy stuff, I'm not even gonna try to describe it cos I know I couldn't...was really cool, tho...
On the way over and the way back, I took my time, just walking around the dark campus, cd player on (as always)....gorgeous out at night...walked all along the steps by Reed...looking all around at the light and the shadows...(I need to start getting higher speed film, so I *can* take pictures at night)...on the way back, saw a couple of guys riding bikes up by the steps and stuff, grinding along a ledge, trying to spin their bikes around as they came down off it..*smiles*...made me think of home.
And I *felt* kinda at home...just...there was like, *no-one* around...just walking around in the dark, music on....got the same sort of feeling I always used to get in Perry, when I'd be out at night-time, taking Rascal for a walk or whatever, no-one at all around, just me and the dimly-lit world.....
Finally managed to get over to the library and stuff after that, got some books out...dude, if there *is* a fiction section in there, *I* sure as hell can't find it! *laughs* ...but I found myself wandering thru psychology and philosophy and history books...tons of stuff on every area in the world...got out a book on where the human race is going, figuring that we're screwed, between increased mechanization and increased population and stuff (see the art-thing I went to. ^^; )...got out a book of letters home rfom Swedish immigrants in the late 1800s, early 1900s (grandpa'd be proud *g*)...and one this guy wrote, following the whole route of the Genesee River, in like, 1940-something...(and of course he goes thru Letchworth and Rochester and all these places I know..I love the history of places I know..this was actually originally run in the D&C from home, too..*smiles*).
So, am gonna curl up with WinAmp running on random, and actually *draw* something, and read...
