So, for anyone whom I haven't talked to since last night..
Yay for college life. again. *giggles*
It was *absolutely GORGEOUS* out last night.. coming back from doing a lab over in Mason, it smelled like summer night-air, and I was in the best mood ever. Ran into Laura and Britty, we stood around talking a bit.
And somehow, the thought of a playground came up. And Laura knew where there's one within walking distance.

So, Britty and I decided to go.. we left about, what, 9.30 or so? walked into town, through town, up a hill to the elementary school (or something, I don't even know, it was dark), where there is a KICK-ASS PLAYGROUND. None of this overly safe all-plastic shit.. This thing's wood and metal - with a few plastic elements, but they're fine, and that slide frickin' ROCKS. There was this.. I dunno. It's like a twisted-curved pole, with a plastic triangular base to stand or sit on a bit off the ground.. and it spins around. REALLY, really fast.
I haven't been that dizzy since the days of old-school tire swings on the Perry Elementary playground. sweeeeeeeet...
And the bouncy-bridge thing? Actually moves... like, Britty and I could jump on it and send each other FLYING up in the air and it was GREAT.
So, we hung out there 'til about 10.30 or so, talking on the swings, about childhood and good books and things, and then started walking back.
As we're crossing one of the residential side-streets in town, Britty spots a giant toad in the midst of the street. Not wanting it to get smushed, she immediately starts trying to coax it off the road, and I tried to help. It, uh, wasn't goin' too well, and I saw a car coming. So, she scooped up the toad and dropped it in the grass beside the road. The vehicle stopped. A large SUV. "BRITTY!!!! GET IN THE TRUCK!!!!!"
*blink*
..it was Laura and her roomie Christy and their friend Mike. "We're kidnapping you guys! Get in!!"
So, we did. Went to Wendy's, got Frosties and things, then came back and hung around the yards by our dorms for a good couple of hours, talking about.. goodness. Movies and random stuff and porn. and the like. deeeear me... *shaking head* (Whether this is good or bad, I wasn't the first to get grossed out by where things went... *wry grin* ..thanks megs, and thanks slash-writers. *giggles*) Buuut, it was, well, educational, in a few aspects..*giggles*... and amusing anyway.
After awhile, Dionysos showed up, he was just leaving Nixon... and told us it was nearly 1am. Britty and I realised we still had things to do, so we all split up and went back to our dorms.
But it was a fun night...

Today has been GORGEOUS, and thus, I spent all my spare time outside reading.. Angela's Ashes, for my 3rd World Lit class.. but it's good anyway. ...'course, I *canNOT* read it like a normal person..cos they keep mentioning places with U2 connotations... *giggles* Sad, I know...

However, I didn't get my nap in this afternoon.. and I'll be up late-ish and stressing cos the number-draw for housing assignments is tonight.. tomorrow'll be worse, cos we'll actually be *picking* the rooms. oog. *quaking* ...Haruna and I are trying to get a 4-person suite with Erin and Britty, cross yer fingers---! (If not, we'll try our hardest to get into the same 8-person suite..which will most likely be managable. but still.. the whole process is jsut nerve-wracking, for whatever reason...)
Ehrm, right. Point I was trying to make is that I think I'm gonna go take a bit of a nap *now*... *g*

(Let's see if I can keep up with the posting-thing again... I've a few things I meant to put up here, but just didn't, for whatever reasons.....)
