oksohi. *laughs* I actually have a bit of spare computer-time, going to use it while I do...
Band/choral picnic was awesome as always, there were as many/more alumni than actual present students there, which amused us to no end. *giggles* I actually got to hang out with Daf some, which was awesome, and Laur and Glenn who're cute *g* and Blake was there which made me happy and so was James which surprised me but also made me happy (does this boy ever STOP getting HOTTER???? gaaaah insanity *g*) and lots of Fredonia people and Naz people and it was just music people and it was good. ^____^
Except it was FREEZING out there. *laughs* But we lived.
Hung out, talked to people, leaned on the boardwalk railing (as I wished I had my camera, which I left in Fredonia cos it was SUPPOSED to be all rainy and not-good-for-taking-pics that day >_<# ), and walked the pier, and I was the fifth wheel again until Glenn very nicely leant me his little stuffed monkey (this after said stuffed monkey was nearly LOST when poorly attatched to our makeshift kite - from a plastic bag and my fredfest lanyard *giggles*) so I wouldn't be alone. *g*
And I still thought a little about the last time I was walking the pier.. with Himeros...
..but I tried not to think on it long, and just gazed out at the lake and the sun and the clouds and sky and all... and thought of my U2s a bit *laughs a little* and just let my mind wander awhile...
Daf and Laur and I sat up on the Evil Cheese (aka a large block of cement labelled thus during a prior picnic..which I've always climbed up on when I'm on the pier, since I was little..same goes for stepping up on the little metal bump-things that were once used to moor boats - which's why I was doing that, in case anyone wondered *g*), and despite the mad cold wind blowing about, we just sat there awhile talking and whatever, while Glenn and Calypso stood near.. Glenn made a smiley face out of blood on it, and I can't fathom why, but nor do I know why I find it so funny.. *laughs*
After walking the pier and back, we just hung around awhile, I talked to Kevin and random people for awhile, then saw James, Glenn, and some other guys throwing donut holes at the seagulls, and found this far too amusing, so went to go watch. *giggles* Insanity. (And don't worry, no seagulls were ever touched by *anything* they tried.. donut holes, cheese curls, small boys with plastic swords, taller boys who just ran after them or threw said donut holes..*giggles*)
Then Mead's son Ryan, little psycho-boy whom I've babysit for (and I think I'm one of like, two repeat-sitters *ever* *g*), arriving on about a minute's delay to join I'm guessing one of Mrs. Rice's sons in a charge on the birds, decided to attack Glenn instead, as he was holding the bag of cheese curls captive. Laur attempted a very valiant defense, but in the end, Mead ganked the bag from Glenn and handed it to the little psycho-boy, who GLARED back at Glenn and said "YOU CAN'T HAVE ANY!" *laughing* dear me, the boy is GOING to be a terror. which I knew. he's Mead's son. *giggles*
He's a born percussionist anyway, he's bound to be trouble. :p

So yeah, good times. *g* Mom picked me up at 6, went back to her apartment, hung out and spent lots of mommy-time, which is always good, esp. when you've been away for over a month. ^_^

And then I had a computer to myself alllll night and had fun with Megs and our U2s and it was good. ^____^

Then today, did maaaad shopping for Hallowe'en cosutme. DUDE.

And we went to Jo-Ann's and ohhhh my gooooodness me. *laughs* If I ever have the attention-span to sit down and do lots of sewing again---! There was so much simply *gorgeous* fabric there. I wish I knew how to make my own clothes. I'm thinking it can't be *that* hard... but then, we'll see what I say after I've made this over-shirt thing for my costume. *laughs* But I got this reeeaally pretty sheer fabric that's a little silvery but mostly white, and it's kinda sparkley, like... I can't describe it but it's awesome. *g*

Only thing is, we couldn't find like, white slik-type pjs like I'd planned on for the main outfit...but we *did* find these impossibly cool light blue silk-like cargo pj pants. And I'm like wait, an angel with cargo pants---? --ok this could be FUN. *laughs* So ended up with those and a matching long-sleeved shirt (cos I couldn't find a good sleeveless one, and as Mom pointed out a bra beneath the spaghetti-straps on those we found wouldn't work so well..not that *I* really care in that case, but it'd take away from the look I want, so yeah..plus, with a long-sleeve, I can at least be a LITTLE warm *G*).

So I have some major re-vamping to do in terms of my costume-design... will sketch things out and ponder tonight and probably tomorrow as well, I won't start cutting and sewing and all 'til I know EXACTLY what I want to do. *g* But I have silver and gold metallic embroidery thread, as well as a very pretty pale blue, some small pearl beads, clear sparkley glass seed beads, and some little jingle-bells to work with, as well as that lace off the shirt I got at Salvation Army..which I have to decide if it's going on the under- or over-shirt now. hmm...

This is going to be so mad fun. ^____^

And I just spent more time talking about costume-supply shopping than about an awesome afternoon with my friends. I *AM* a dork. *laughs*

But I'm also sleeeeepy and my back hurts from sitting here again. And this keyboard's fecking LOUD and it bugs me. So bedtime. ^__^
