Yeah, that last entry would be mel. *laughs*
So yeah, home for the weekend, since trick-or-treating in Fredonia is like, illegal over the age of 16 and past 8pm or whatever. wankers.
Just as well tho, cos it ROCKED here last night. Well, once we got out, which took a bit longer'n planned... merani&co were already at devon's, so Mom drove Daf and I over there at, what, I think around 7 or so, we caught up with the five of them (mel, devon, briana, rachel and faith) a little ways onto part of Reddick Lane - the street I lived on 'til I was like 7, and also in Zinni's old neighborhood, so I knew right where we were the whole time, which was nice. *g* We went around the whole neighborhood, and got MAD tons of candy, and it *THE* most *PERFECT* Hallowe'en night *ever*, truly. We've *never* had weather that nice, it was awesome.. it was soooo warm, I was almost *too* warm at times in just my silk-like-pajama-costume, there was a thin moon that turned from aged yellow to orange to eventually near-red by the time we got home, it sprinkled for about a minute but that was all, it was sooo nice... the five of them were all spastic as always, briee in particular, uhhh.. which made it fun. *g* Daf and I kept smacking into everyone with our wings (mine white, Daf's black.. we got a pic of us together, for now, there're two sketchy-digital ones of me from yesterday here and here..not very good of *me* but you get the idea of the costume *g*), and the yin-yang on the front of mel's boogiepop costume, she'd drawn on a piece of paper and scribbled-in with marker and taped to her cape. *laughs* (FABRIC PAINT HI this is why we start making costumes sooner'n five minutes before we head out.. *g*) But yeah, it was good. There were these two random boys who followed us most of the way, at first it was just this one kid and Briee ran over to him and asked him his name and how old he was and all this stuff... his name was Andy and he said he was 15. "Fifteen.. like a one and a five?"
So he and his friend who later joined him, both in random hockey-type masks, Andy's with the blood-running-down feature, were either just ahead or just behind us the rest of the way, his friend went up to some of the doors *with* us to get candy, never really saying a word, I don't even know. *laughs* We figure they must've just been bored out of their minds or something.. either that or are just so deprived for female-company that they follow around 13-year-old girls and a college-age sister and friend around on Hallowe'en... I don't even know. It was amusing.
Got back to devon's street a bit after nine I think, went past the house at the end where a group of kids the girls knew were like, drunk, or something.. "You can still come here if you already came, there's more candy!" "Uh, I don't have anymore candy, is money ok?" just all this random shite, Rachel and Faith started walking towards the house anyway 'til we called them away cos we were like dudeokno, we're walking away and one yells out "I'm a pimp without any ho's!" and we're just like >___< I don't think so.. Got down to Devon's house, her parents and a bunch of the neighbors were out around a small fire on the steet, with candy and they'd had s'mores and whatnot, there were a few *liiiittle* little adorable kids with big things of left-over candy they gave us, we learned the kids at the end of the steet'd had the cops called on them, figured they were drunk or whatever...
..I don't know, it was interesting, seeing people together as a *neighborhood* like that again...I guess it just reminded me of when we were there, that's how it'd be, in a way it's similar to our dorm, but on a larger scale, I dunno... but Reddick was the only time I'm lived in a place like that, in Perry we were too spread out, and here..I dunno, just, no-one's ever outside, and now like half the people around us have moved, others won't stay long...
But yeah, so about 9.30 Mom picked up me and Daf, we went out to the car then briee followed and GLOMPED me and it was cute. *giggles* Went to the grandparents, who were suitably impressed by our costumes and fed us cider and donut holes and took pics, then got back here finally a bit after 10.
And I got online to talk to Megs and play with our U2s and celebrate Larry's birthday. ^____^
...only then I learnt that THIS COMPUTER IS A FECKING PIECE OF SHITE HI cos it was fine for a few hours, then I accidentally bumped into it cos CHAIR OF DOOM tried to kill me and it restarted... and from there, the vicious endless circle began. I managed to get back online ok after a bit of frustration, but about an hour later it went out again... and it doesn't just restart and then you're good, oh no... if it doesn't do the multiple-beeps thing when it starts to reboot (which results in *no* picture and just the tower sitting there beeping for theoretically forever), it goes to the check-disk option, which might take hours to go through, but if you skip, it might very well get hung up *there*. Anytime the thing gets hung up, you get to start over - and just hitting the power button doesn't always have an affect, now and again you have to commit one of the major sins of computer-usage and just nail the source of power - in this case, the switch on the wall. And then some of the time I got the safe-mode option screen, and it hung up there once or twice. Finally, I got into windows, signed onto aim, got out a message to Megs---and it rebooted. Got back in again, didn't even *finish* typing my message, and it rebooted. One of the times I was in, I pulled up My Computer to move some files I'd put on the desktop, and suddeny all the fonts went into bits and pieces, utterly illegible. Managed to fix that by changing the resolution, but then it went into rebooting again anyway. And when things came up onscreen again, there were just random bits of colour and shite, tried again, everything was blotched up, tried again, ditto.....
So finally I gave up on the madness, Matt was home so I asked if I could get on his computer a minute and just tell Megs goodnight, cos I couldn't get back on.. (I'd already borrowed his computer once or twice at this point during some of the longer rebooting-fits, so I could let her know what was going on. Cos for once, his pc wasn't passworded.) It was what, I think around 3am at this point.. so I went into my room (climbing over the literal MOUNTAIN of dirty clothes Matt cleaned from his room and piled up in front of *my* door - as there's only a three-foot square landing at the top of the stairs that seperates my room from his). Lit a few candles, gathered up my sketchbook, the stories I'm currently working on, and a pen, a few U2 cassettes, turned out the light and curled up on my bed, putting the Wide Awake in America ep. And just *listened* thru to the live version of "Bad"... it'd been awhile, and it's so good... <3
And Larry's awesome. <3 <3 <3
^_^
Re-read a few of the pages I'd brought with of "In One Man's Eyes" (I forget to grab all of it out of my psych notebook, but I have like the most recent four pages, which picks up shortly before the scene I'm in, so s'all good), and wrote a little more. I *think* it's pretty good, The Scene that I'm writing now... like, I dunno, I still feel like I'm repeating phrases and certain words too much, and just, I dunno, at times I feel like I'm just babbling and rambling on and on with it.. but I think it's ok, it's just so much in detail, it's not like, yeah, he hugged me then kissed me, it's, y'know, something like, he slid his hands down my sides and wrapped his arms tightly around my back, leaning forward slowly to press his lips warmly to mine. ... uhhh, yeah. *g* But it's good. I think I'm finally worked my way *almost* up to yeahstuffhi. Took me, what, five or so pages to get here, but.. *laughs* but that's ok, cos it's not like we want them to go from hanging out quietly all night on the beach to back to Ad's apartment and POUNCE. Yes this is slash, and yes a fair bit of the thing is gratuitous - but it was intended as a gift-fic, so s'all good, but.. I *am* trying to keep at least *some* semblance of plausability in the thing.
Aaaanyway...
Yeah. I'm still half-asleep, I did manage to sleep in 'til like, 2 this afternoon, which was good, then I had some breakfast and hung out with mel and we watched digimon with the sound turned down and random j-pop remixes played overtop. which is far funnier than it should be. *g*
Think I'm heading to Mom's for dinner, then maybe the grandparents' afterwards, not sure yet. Laur's coming home today sometime, which is cool.. I'll try not to be up *mad* late tonight, so gimme a call like, uh, shite. *laughs* Ok call *Daf* first and find out what time her parents are taking us back to Fredonia tomorrow, we can work out a bit of time to hang out from there. ^_^
Megs, I'll try to be online tonight when I can, we'll see how this goes... Mel told me today that when the computer does the beep-thing, you just have to like, move the tower around and usually tilt it a bit and yeah. gahhhhh.
Anyway, I should go showe---nooo, Megs is on, nm! *laughs* kbye. ^_^
