Was talking to Britt just now, talking about the ticket-situation (which I'm feeling worlds better about - more in a minute), André came up.. Britt asked if this trip to the US was going to be the first time he and Kate met in person, I said yeah, she asked if they're dating, I said yeah, and she was all THAT'S NOT DATING! You can't be dating with no physical contact! Calmly, I said yes you can, they're the sort of people that works for, and she kept yelling over me, I mean in such a way it was half jokingly over-doing it, but yelling and vehement and uncompromising nonetheless, shooting me down and drowning me out and saying NO THEY CAN'T BE, THAT'S NOT DATING!
And I kept my voice down and said I wans't going to argue it, we'll never resolve it, and I walked away.
...
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She just walked over to my room.
And handed me two sheets of paper, printed off the computer, highlighted.
The definitition of dating, from dictionary.com.
>_______<
It was ALL I could do to not blow up at her. Glanced at the paper, saw what it was, and flung it to the ground without reading. Keeping my voice calm, though I could feel myself getting flushed and my chest is all tight, I said no, look, I have my definition and you have yours, we're never going to resolve this, just leave it.
She won't. She has to be right.
...if I ever do this, someone seriously? smack me and tell me to shut the fuck up.
*takes a slow, deep breath* And now for lighter news, if I can recover from that.. I really was calm, 'til she flung that paper in my face just now. >_< Just when I was finally feeling better after a week of frustration and being upset...
First it was someone on interference, and then it quickly spread, reaching people on Megs' friends-list.
Ticketmaster e-mailing, or calling people, apologising for them not being able to use their pre-sale codes, and giving them the chance to purchase two GA tickets. *smiles warmly, part of the weight falling from shoulders* I feel *worlds* better already. Unfortunately, it won't help Megs and I.. she used her pre-sale code, and I didn't e-mail and complain to anyone about it.
Tickets for NYC go onsale tomorrow morning at 9am. I'm getting up early, catching an earlier bus to campus, will be there at 8.30am. Will head up to the Media Arts lab in McEwan, and get situated there, opening windows for ticketmaster, u2.com, my e-mail, and Megs' lj, as well as print out a seating chart in case it's needed (note to me: REMEMBER TO DO THIS!). The lab's supposed to be open at 8am, though my class in there's not 'til 9.30am..if by some chance I can't get in, will go to the library.
Here's hoping Safari agrees with ticketmaster and everything else.. wish I could install firefox on there, it'd make my life less stressful, can't switch between browser windows for shit with safari/osX... But, then again, the monitors are bigger and at a much higher res., so I should be able to fit a bunch of them on the window at once without trouble. *giggles* S'all good.
In other news, ordered
a new toy tonight. ^_^ heeeeeh. Definitely the best deal I could find..and it's 160 gbs!!! That's more than Lawrence has altoegther. *giiggles* Granted, this is being bought for my video class (here's hoping it gets here soon, 'else working on this project's going to be a pretty big pain..which reminds me *flings blank cds into bag to take tomorrow, so I don't lose all my work when the system purges*), but.. heeeeeeeeh. It's still hot, yo.
...though, I really can't say I'm impressed with the look of the thing, it's designed by *porche* people? wtf. a) that's really random, and b) it's a fecking silver rectangle. *giggles, shrugs* ah well.. it's 160gbs. *drool*
...Britt's still really childish. -_-; *goes back to finishing two more self-portraits for drawing class*
