A note to Freddy folk: If you're planning on purchasing alcohol at Martin's, EVERYONE with you will need to show ID to prove they're over 21. Whether or not they're buying it. Oh, and ID that just expired because your 21st bday was two weeks ago, doesn't work. No alcohol for you. (Even if it's the wimpy little vaguely alcoholic stuff Tom and I get.)
Parents can buy a six-pack with gradeschoolers in tow, or teenagers with them, but me with my bf who's obviously about my age, and IS of legal age? Nope.
So we went to Quality and bought it there. That's like the second out of three visits that I've left Martin's cranky. GRR.
...on the bright side, I'm doing much much better today, and feel up to going to work tomorrow. :) I managed a walk to Blockbuster + Martin's with Tom just fine. The concussion of foot hitting ground makes my legs sore after awhile, but that wasn't 'til we were nearly to Blockbuster, and once I walked slower again, I was fine. And the walk definitely did me good - I felt things settle back properly into place a couple of times, a muscle unstiffening or something along those lines, and it felt so much better. And work will be much, much less motion than what I just did. Standing doesn't bother me, and I can verynearly handle stairs like a normal human being again. My knee still looks pretty frightening, the gouge is taking its time healing, and the black and blue marks are obviously sticking around a bit, but it doesn't hurt much at all comparatively now.
Still going to be taking the bus for at least a week, but, I'm doing better.
And Tom and I have Silence of the Lambs + sequels to curl up and watch tonight. :) (We watched part of it on tv the other night, and I discovered it actually was looking reallyreally good, so, he's convinced me now.) So now that I've bitched about my Martin's experience on the Top's/Martin's message board, I'm going to go make some popcorn and rest.
OOO! and we have Pocky! I want a Pocky. Yayyay. <3
