On another spazz-note:
Zahtar.

Middle-Eastern spice blend, oooooof.. *scrambles to find package* Toasted sesame seed, ground sumac, thyme, and oregano. Way more delicious than you'd guess from the short list. My package of it suggests using it with meatballs, veggies, in dips, and mixing it with olive oil to use on salads or pizza.
I'd been throwing it in with my rice a lot, and it's amazing. Also picks up nicely in curry. Was awesome on the crackers I baked the other day. Tonight, as I was cooking myself a mini-dinner, I decided to throw some in with some frozen veggies. The veggies went into a small frying pan with the leftovers I was re-heating, I threw some Zahtar and a small chunk of butter over them, and cooked just until hot, so they were still crisp but not toasted.
omFg were they delicious! It was a pretty bland frozen blend, but, they tasted amazing. Absolute miracle-worker, this stuff. Good thing this little pouch has so much in it.
(I have a 2oz bag of the stuff, Niblack brand, which Mom got for me at
Tadco - the ingredient warehouse back home in Rochester. They have a website, which is not terribly informative about the products, but, you can order things from them, which is a happiness.)
