So you know those tiny little packets of flavored powder mix, designed to pour into a bottle of water? I tried a few out last year for NaNo, since drinking and nibbling are what I do what I'm writing (and what I do to keep myself awake). Worked pretty well, cheaper than real juice and better for me than, say, soda. So when Mom was picking me up goodies at WalMart the other day, I poked around the shelves of powdered drink mixes, and was psyched to see so many new and yummy sounding flavors.
Crystal Light. White tea with blueberry.
AMAZING. Almost a little too strong/sweet, but that's easily fixed. But it actually tastes like white tea! and blueberries!
...and I want to get my word quota in by midnight, which is technically the end of the day, and when Tom comes home anyway, and apparently he feels kind of neglected when I have my noveling months. (I'm not sure what's so different about me typing and listening to music than me crocheting and listening to podcasts, but... I suppose the fact that I'm totally wrapped up in another world might be an issue. I can see that.) I'm at nearly 2600 and need to get to 3385. crap that is so not going to happen.
Oh NaNoWriMo, you lead to more posts on this blog during November than the rest of the freaking year combined...
