*diiiies giggling* I adore Bono. always forever. I'm watching U2's performance at Live Aid back in '85..
Each group was given 15, 20 minutes, as I recall - Bowie managed 3, 4 songs... U2 did two. and ran overtime - the end of the 10+ minute "Bad" is cut out of the video I have. *giggles*
Anyway, yeah. *giggles* So B's crouched down on the stage, reaching out, "fade away.."...and gets up, heading down off the stage, and just DROPS the microphone on the stage, the stand - already quite leaning, falling. As B walks away a stagehand literally *dives* onto the stage, sliding over and grabs the mic and has it in the uprighted stand in like, 5 seconds. That's friggin' impressive. *giggling*

I still maintain that cordless microphones were invented because of Bono. *G*

..but it's so cool watching this, and I can see now why it was such a huge deal that Bono went down and danced with a girl from teh audience..it was a BIG friggin' production! *laughs a bit* Cos this stage - it's no wonder B kept jumping down, the stage was like, set sooo far back from and above the audience that there's gotta be like, 20+ feet between the band and the crowd..and that'd just never work for Bono. *smiles* So he hops down and picks his way between things, and is pointing at a girl in the crowd, then you've got like 10 security people all around trying to get her out and over the barricade that's like, 4' high.. it's no wonder the song goes on for like 13 minutes! (not that anyone would mind ever cos it's "Bad" and it could go on forever... <3) And poor B's pacing like, 10' above that, finally just hops down off the stage entirely down to crowd-level.. And B snuggles and dances with her and it's cuuuute. ^_____^

lmfao and once Bono's climbed most of the way back up again, he just like gestures for the mic and the same poor roadie goes darting over to grab it and give it to Bono! *laughs* dude this guy's awesome, he needs glomped. *g*

 
my summer so far:
- sleeping
- downloading Jem/MST3K/Aqua Teen Hunger Force/The Muppet Show/Star Trek/U2stuff/etc from winmx
- mowing lawns
- working custodial over at Pearce (at night, not when Dad's there *g*)
- babysitting
- talking to Megs online for hours every day
- working on fics ("As An Angel Runs to Ground"..was done. isn't now. *giggles* revising, at Megs' suggestion.)
- forgetting to clean
- cooking dinner, baking cookies and random things
- reading random things (fairy tales, nancy drew, some random novel centered around the fashion industry which I figured - correctly - that'd be conducive to Mackie-stuff *g*)
- going to mom's, talking to random people, hanging out with mel, the chicken bbq at school (which was mad fun as always ^_^), taking pictures, and lots and lots of daydreaming

..so, yeah. *giggles* not much worth posting about, really. the most interesting thing in my life at the moment is my upcoming wedding to Megs'/my/Adam's LilLar, in-Bubble, in..probably about a month. *giggles, grins brightly* very exciting stuff yo.

speaking of, however, in going through old chats in order to organise slashes for easier re-reading.. Megs and I are insane. *giggles happily* (not that y'all didn't think so from us planning an in-bubble wedding, but, y'know.)
this was..a bit less'n a year ago, August 16 of last year..Megs'd been dealing with her boy in midst of angst, I'd been dealing with anxiety over Himeros in general, who I was kinda-seeing but kinda wasn't and idek what was going on.. *laughs gently, shaking head* ..'least no matter how things work out, there're always new things learned that'll make things better the next time around... anyway yeah. *giggles* this made me giggle lots.
