and so it changes again...Erik *IS* coming down tonight omfgbufdi;sbfdj YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

^_______^

Granted it's predominently to see Calypso cos despite everything he's his friend and I understand and respect that, I truly do, so that's fine.
But I get to see my boyfriend whom I haven't seen in... .. omg it's *so* only been like a week and a half and I'm already this bad?! oo dear. *giggles, shakes head* But I miss him lots so I'm super-excited. ^_____^ yay. *bounces*

..it concerns me that I got the same score as my 13-yr old sister. ^^;;;

anyway, ha. there. proof that my imagination is worse than I am. *giggles*

interestingly tho:

3,784 women agreed with you, and chose "Bono" as the best sex option of all time.

*mad giggles* ehm, anyway, yes.

(Larry has a rule against doing anything with fans, and I respect that. *giggles* ... ...good thing he doesn't seem to mind in-Bubble tho. ^_~)

(..right, and now that my out-of-Bubble boyfriend is going to run away on the grounds that I want Bono more than I want him...which isn't entirely true... ... ..I'm stopping now. *giggles* Erik, this is why me not seeing you for so long is so terribly bad for you, I do things like watch U2 videos. *g* ..but Bono made me think of you! really he did. he did this little eyebrow-thing..it was like a mini-eyebrow-bounce..and I've seen you do that, so it made me think of you so HA even while watching U2 I'll think of you so there. :p)
(Megs I always think of you while watching U2 so don't worry. *giggles* *glomps* and I miss you and thank goodness it's only--- 34 days now! ^______^)
(and I love how the parenthesized portion of this post is far longer than the rest. *giggling* going to bed now...)

mmm. dose of U2 is good for the soul now and again.
and I missed my Mackie. <3

watched part of the ZooTV vid just now cos I needed it. still sad over Erik not being able to come down here tomorrow...let's hope for Saturday? *smiles a bit* but even if not, I should be home next weekend, so maybe that'll work out. ^_^
and I miss my Megs lots still, hardly got to talk to her tonight cos I got outta work late. bleh.

but yeah, U2 helped, as always. *smiles* yay. <3

..now, if I could just figure out where the *feck* my Mackie-fic disappeared to..... ^^;;;;;

Back in ye olde days of 1997, when I was still actually a little aol'er...
*I'm* the one who first IMed *Megs*.
And I'm the first person who ever IMed her.
EVER.
She'd only just gotten online that *day*.

*giggling* I think that's all a lot more responsiblity than I want to have to take. Or something.

...and Megs, I admire your memory - I couldn't remember what year that was, let alone who IMed who first. *laughs* My apologies, a bit late, for probably freaking you out. *g*
Not that I'm apologising for IMing you that day. *mad giggles* No way. *GLOMPS!* Love you. You're definitely the best person I randomly IMed *ever*. ^______^

...this is freaking me out, I'm in the computer lab in Houghton cos I'm on break from working (read: mopping mopping mopping ad infinitum) and like, I'm the *only* one *in* here. There's usually a handful of people, sometimes it's nearly full... there was a guy in here when I first got here, then he left. It's all completely quiet except for me typing and it's just freaky.

And no, there's no point whatsoever in me posting right now really except that I'm a bit bored cos there isn't really anyone on aim to talk to just now. And I reeeeeeeaaaaaaaalllllllyyyyyy don't wanna go back to work but I guess I'll manage, only another hour or so at most I know, maybe an hour and a half cos the floors are like mad dirty from people tracking in snow and salt and slush and shite, but yeah. Mopped two labs and two sets of stairs so far, I know I have at least one more lab to do, then probably the main stairs and the stairs going downstairs. And stairs don't take too terribly long to do, so yeah.

*siiiiiiigh* Alright FINE I'll go now. *giggles* Will stop being a whiny lil petulant dork now.

Oh yeah, and guess what?
I can convert numbers into binary. Like, on my own. I know how to do it.

Behold the über-geek. :D

So, yeah, that watermain break? It was near-on 24 hours by the time we had water properly again. (A bit of a drizzle and brown smelly shite for brief periods only to disappear again don't count.) We got it back sometime yesterday afternoon, after it having gone out around 4pm the day before. Madness...
This, however, led to another adventure of Britty and I. *giggles*
Well, actually, despite the water-thing, we were having a fun night cos it was like 1.30am, Britt was flipping channels again, and stumbled across our campus tv station, which we don't watch often cos it's usually just random junk or whatever.
Only this time?
It was a reallyreally old like, '80s video game, involving throwing a frisbee.
*mad giggles*
Needless to say, we were pretty amused, so we kept it on awhile. The game blanked out after a minute, we kept the channel there in hopes they were just changing the game....
...and so they were.
The put in..oh I always mess this up, but I think it was Mario Brothers. It's the one I know from having (tried to) played and (much more successfully) watched Eric and Dan and Blake play over in Eric's basement back when we all hung out in school and all. (We played that and Bubble Bobble, which Blake and Dan to this *day* have the music and all memorised...I know Dan knows just where the monsters will fall for a good number of levels memorised as well.) So Britt and I were like, omg, they ARE running an old Nintendo thru the tv station, that's fecking AWESOME!!! *laughs*
So we sat and watched. ^_^
...and soon realised:
Whoever was friggin' playing are MASTERS of this game. I'm not even joking, they knew tricks and secrets and things Britt and I'd never seen, and they beat those levels faster'n we'd even thought possible... like that one where there're all the logs or whatever on the little wire-things that move around? This kid had that DOWN, it took like under a minute.
Britty decided to tape this - because she can, and because we're geeks like that, and cos it was just *mad* awesome.
After awhile of this...they hit a warp zone.
And didn't just warp to level 4 or something. They went to like, level 7 or 8 or so.
Fucking MADNESS holy *shit*... I've never seen that far into a Mario game in my life, and 1) those programmers *knew* their stuff, I'm impressed 2) holy FUCK were these guys GOOD. There's this level where you have these tank-like things rolling at you (so you have to keep moving, it's one of those) and y'know those cannon-things? there were like 463892 of them. Barely exaggerating. And these guys were just....wow.
Britty and I were honestly in awe.
..yes we KNOW what dorks we are. *laughs*

So about 2.30, they were still playing and Britt and I were still watching tho we knew we should get to bed soon. However, we decided to make a trip over to Dod's hall (about a five-minute walk in weather of non-doom) to use the bathrooms (as we'd been told to do) since ours were still out, cos we were afraid we'd wake up in the middle of the night and have to go. Half in pajamas, we bundled up and headed out. Wasn't *as* cold as it has been, but it decided to taunt us and since we didn't have water in our building, it gave us water *outside* our building by deciding to rain. And hail a bit. And Britty got nailed in the eye with some cos she was taunting the weather. *giggles*
So we spot a door that looks like it'll be open into Dod's, and go in. And begin to wander the building cos this's the gym-building, we don't go in here, we don't know where things are. We can see some of the janitor's stuff out, a mop here or vacuum there, but didn't see the janitor like anywhere. Wandered and wandered for a good looong while, found the guys' locker-room, eventually found the girls', discovered that though there were showers and lots of lockers, there're no toilets apparently in locker-rooms. (If this is common, I wouldn't know. And anyway the ones in high school did. *shrugs, giggles confusedly*)
Got a little freaked out occasionally, just cos being in empty buildings, especially schools, does that to you...creepy in a very good way though. We made the *awesomest* discovery though... we're wandering around, and we look down this one little hallway. And there's a door at the end but along the sides? Are four of those little mini-doors, the ones about half-size that endlessly fascinated us all in elementary school. (Well they fascinated me and my friends, anyway. *g*) *Always* wanted to go through one, but they were always locked, never had any idea what could be behind them or what they were for...
Apparently ours our to get into the *racquetball* courts.
yeah.
figure that one out, we couldn't. *giggles*
either all the players are midgets, they ran outta budget for making doors...or something prosaic like the ball hits less hard/often down there so it's less dangerous. but that's no fun.
Britty and I looked at each other, then at the one door that was open, and were like that's it, we're going in. And so we did. And yes, it rocked. *g* Almost like going into a cave in a way, this tiny little entrance into this huge dimly-lit space...
Wandered around that building for like half an hour before we wound up over by the ice rink - which's actually in *Steele* hall which's connected to Dod's - and found a sign that at last said RESTROOMS. Got there just as the janitor'd started in, he went and found somewhere else to clean tho so we could get in there, which was very nice of him. ^_^
So, went to the bathroom at long last, brushed our teeth, and walked back to our dorm to go to bed.
Only I realised I still had my paper-thing to write up for drawing, so I was up 'til like 4 doing that but that's ok. ^^;;;

...so yes, I'm feeling better. Still sick, and today my throat's decided to swell up like a mofo so that makes life interesting. *shrugs and laughs* But I'm not like dying, so s'all good.

Am, however, still kinda tired...I should either do something productive so I wake up, or take a nap.
...
...okFINE, I'll be productive for once, cos I wanna straighten up in here cos I've just been making piles of things instead of finding them places to live again, so yeah. *laughs* Going now.

Goodnight Starlight
the Juliana Theory

Close your eyes,
You're beautiful when you're sleeping
Tonight may all your dreams come true.
It's so nice to hold you while I'm sleeping
When I'm dreaming of you.
And what we've got is something special,
And what we are is a perfect match.
And 3,000 miles could never come between us,
No matter what we do it's always me and you and
It's always me and you.

I know sometimes it's lonely while you're sleeping,
Well, it's lonely for me too.
It's alright, just know that while I'm sleeping
That I'm dreaming of you.
And what we have is something special
And what we are is a perfect match,
And 3,000 miles could never come between us,
No matter what we do we always have the stars
To wish upon from where I'm at
And where you are.

Goodnight...

Now, y'all know I usually like to try to find the good in things, be it people, plants, a song, an event, whatever.
But the world officially hates me.
*has to laugh, shakes head*
First of all, I've been sick all weekend. This doesn't happen often, and when it does it's BAD and like DOOM. So I've had a cold plus a bad bout of something else, which's lead to me being headachy, stuffed up, dry mouth and throat, nasous like mad, and aching and stiff and sore like eeeeeeeverywhere. Lower back's just been in like constant pain for three days.
So, went to bed early Friday night, couldn't even stay online 'til midnight cos my eyes were so sore and tired and just everything, so curled up on the phone with Megs for awhile, then Erik for awhile, then sleeeept. Saturday, woke up about noon, went to take a shower.
In the midst of a nice hot healing shower...FIRE ALARM WENT OFF. I'm standing there like o_o;; oh motherfucker PLEASE let that just be the water in the pipes---- and then I saw the light flashing as well and was like FUCK. >_< So my wonderful suitemates grabbed my shoes and jacket and I quickly got the shampoo out of my hair and into a robe and put the towel over my hair. Then my jacket and shoes. And looked like SUCH a moron but I was fucking SICK and it was SOOOO cold. ...firetruck showed up, which means it wasn't a drill, someone either tripped it or set it off by smoking or something (just the night before, Britt'd smelled the smoke from a bong coming from the suite next to ours 9_9 ).
Got back in and went right back into the shower, recovered. Went out shopping with Jen and Haruna, got sucked into the Book Nook for rather awhile, picked up a book of some random guy's poetry that looked interesting, hit up WalMart and Tops for random stuff including REAL ORANGE JUICE!!!! <3 <3 <3 (which's almost gone now *laughs*), got back around 5, used up some meals, curled up in here for the night...
And I was talking to Megs and she was upset over something, and it took us a long time to work it out, and we did but that just added to my tiredness, so we talked awhile longer and it was good, and I went to bed really early again...
Decided not to leave the dorm at all tomorrow, got up around noonish, watched some Care Bears and Rainbow Brite just cos; Megs came online so I spent the afternoon talking with her, and her Bono reprimaded my ovaries again *giggles* and was sweet, and my Edgelet cuddled up with her for awhile so it was good. *smiles* (Cos my side of the Bubble's been a little quiet lately..) Got offline about 9 to go to bed, cos I was mad tired, curled up to go to sleep, and was just about there...
When the FIRE ALARM WENT OFF. *AGAIN*.
So out we went AGAIN into the single-digit weather, me all snuggled into my jacket leaning against a wall and just wanting to be back in bed... really, you all know I don't usually get this pissy but I was *so* upset, I just wanted to cry.
Got back in, and it was forever before I managed to fall asleep again, The Million Dollar Hotel soundtrack was losing a bit of its potency after the third night running...
Decided not to go to my first class this morning - music history, the notes're online anyway and I know I can miss a few classes, I don't like to cos I enjoy it so much but I know I'll be fine doing so. Slept an extra two hours, Britt reminded me Language in Society was cancelled which was GOOD. Made it through The Greek Way well enough - had only skimmed the reading but he, uh, keeps things pretty basic, to put it mildly (explain to me how he's teaching this when he hadn't a clue who Persephone was???), so it wasn't a problem. No Language in Society today so went and picked up the last check I'll have in awhile (not making it to work tonight's not gonna help matters either -_-;;), went to the WilliC to get it cashed, got some food and finished up writing what I'd started in class just before, then had my first Computer Sci class... *laughs* We're in a regular classroom, though we'll have some lab-time later, only there's not one available right at that time so we get to change classtimes, the guy's like..either mid-eastern or Indian, I'm not sure yet, and about a third of his words are rather hard to make out ("first" has a tendancy to sound kinda like "fuzzed")...so, uh, it'll be interesting. *giggles, shakes head*
And then on the way back, I notice A BACK-HOE OUTSIDE OUR BUILDING. Surrounded by GRASS AND WATER AND SLUSH. Never a good sign. >_< ...watermain break, whole campus was out for a bit, now it's just our quad of dorms for who knoooows how long, about 5-6 hours they said. Which means like 10pm. doooooooooooooooooooooooom.

So yes, very fun days. *has to laugh* Oog. Li'l too *much* fun for me.

Can we go back to Christmas break now, please?
