...I don't even *drink* and I can't get the smell of alcohol out of my nose.

alright well, everyone's back in, safe inasmuch as they're here and taken care of... they're all in and here.....

...this..is how the majority of college students spend their weekend nights - not even weekends, this is Thursday night! curled up around a toilet seat, half passed-out, not even remembering all the shit they got themselves into, lucky as all hell they have friends who're sober to make sure things are alright, lucky as all hell to get back to their room safely, lucky as all hell in any number of ways.....

..Britt and I are going the fuck to bed.

...and the adventures never end...
2am, we get a call from some guy downstairs, asking us to come get Christina cos she's "completely hammered". So Britt and I get her, she hasn't got her keys and doesn't know where her visiting friends, who she went out with, are. While she's bent over the toilet, RA down the hall comes in to see if she's alright and to unlock the door cos Christina doesn't have her keys, Katie comes back half-frantic, she'd been looking for Christina, and on hearing her friends weren't with her dashes out to go look, Britt goes with her (cos we're not sure how sober Katie is), I sit vigil over Christina who I can't tell is conscious or unconscious, just breathing, head on arm on toilet seat.. I pull her back at one point cos her head's about to fall in..
After a bit, her friends come in..but Britt and Katie aren't with them, the two girls go in to take care of Christina, I step out after a minute, the guy says he hadn't seen Britt and Katie...
I find Katie's cell number, fighting with my calling card, then scrap that and try just dialing but I get tangled up in the fecking system, use the calling card again just as Katie calls in here, I tell her they're back and she's so relieved, they're on their way back now...
..and I can hear Christina wretching again, but I know her friends know more of what to do than I do...only I'm wondering how drunk *they* are, listening to them....
..time to go check in again, I think.....

wheeeee right updates what? ^^;

Valentine's was good, though I couldn't kiss my boy cos there was a chance he had mono or strep or something..and yes he held me to that. terrible. *giggles* But it was a really good day anyway, he brought me flowers cos he's sweet, and he liked the pic I drew him (though he was a little unnerved by certain details *giggles* but y'know). And we snuggled up for the afternoon and evening, watched Return of the Jedi just cos, hung out and stuff and it was good. ^_^
Only now turns out he *does* have mono. :( :( :( :( My poor boy, I feel so bad! and I wish there was something I could do for him but I know I kinda can't..even if I was home, there wouldn't be much... meh.

Went into town with Britty the other day, we stopped in at Two Guys card shop or whatever the feck it's called, they've sports memorabilia and cards and like Magic cards and a bit of gaming stuff and whatever randomness. And, as luck would have it, they have some video games they're selling for a guy out of Buffalo...including NES games. :D
So, we bought this one called "Journey to Silius"...and after a combined hour or two of playing, Britty has yet to beat the first level, and I only have twice and die pretty much immediately thereafter.
So yeah it's bad. *giggles*
The music friggin' *ROCKS* tho.. (and they've a great remix over at ocr.)
Most of my efforts however have been with Super Mario..which, when I originally played it back in elementary/middle school, I had to have my friend Ashley jump over that first gap for me cos I died like every time. Never got past 1-2, I know that much, though I remember watching her and her brother and their *mom* get mad farther.
Now, however, without using warp zones or anything, I have managed, after probably, what, somewhere around 4 hours of gameplay this week, to get all the way up to I think 5-3. w007. *giggling*
Hey, this's some mad progress for me.
And I'm better'n Britty. *giggles* (Granted, most of her Nintendo-time is spent playing Zelda 2, but still, even on that she dies a lot.)

We've been having a grand time in here, between Nintendo, watching Nintendo being played on our campus tv station late at night (they played Super Mario last night, and there was commentary, and the two girls sounded far too much like Britt and I and it was funny *giggles*), getting stuck in British accents and not being able to get back out, filling up a 60-minute tape with our randomness for Jen's Language in Society project, taping Britty's sleep-talk for *her* LiS project (with me translating the next morning cos the tape doesn't catch quite everything, and I'm usually awake and keeping her talking *giggles*)... s'all good. ^_^

Oh yeah and there are classes and stuff too. *laughs* Which're going pretty well, computer science I keep doing better than I think I am on things, which's always good, and I have a fair enough handle on the stuff now anyway (yay for doing arithmatic in binary! *laughs*). LiS, we have a lot of interesting class discussions, which's always fun, same with Greek Way, only there it's usually just listening to the philosophy majors run intellectual circles around our professor. *giggles* It's mad fun. Music history's same as last semester, it's not always the most fascinating material but Davis is friggin' the best *EVER* and makes things interesting and good. ^_^ Drawing..well..had some rough days cos things just haven't been working and my professor drives me up the friggin' wall and doesn't get what I'm doing (though it's really not complicated ^^;) and probably wants me to be more abstract but I don't dooooo abstract sorry go away bye. meh. But my classmates are great, there's only seven of us total, and the one guy in the class usually sits in one of the little rooms attatched to the main one, so the five other girls and I just talk the whole time and it's cool, we had a written critique today and it went far better than I had thought it was going to - prof. LEFT and it was like yay, the second drawing I've started (cos the first, just, I was spending more time on it than it was worth) is nearly done and looks really good, and people gave me a lot of good comments on what little I've done, so I feel a little better now. Like I know it's not bad, but like, when your professor does nothing but suggest other routes you can take and whatever, it's nice to hear people say that hey, that's a really neat idea, it's interesting and pretty well done. So yay. Band's alright, though I got kicked back to the second row..but actually that's been fine, really (apart from wanting to scream when hearing one of the girls who's now in the front row playing a solo part far below par *sighs* ..and I don't say this to be mean or snobbish, but really, these parts aren't hard at *all*)... the second row has some good people in it, I talk to the girls next to me like all the time, we have the low reeds beside us and they're always amusing, and just, idk, it feels more *in* the band, cos we're sitting amongst people and it's kinda warm and cozy there. *smiles*

Speaking of which...
Jen, the girl I *did* sit next to in band, the one who randomly hangs out with Hanson and I went to the shows with? Yeah. I walk in the other day and she's all like, I have a present for you. I'm like oooooooo yay!
And she draws it all out, she's like, ok, well, he was sorry it's so old but he wanted to give you something with all three of them on it etc etc and he asked if you're coming to the shows [that Hanson are doing..uhm, this week *laughs* but like on the other side of the state and like Connecticut and stuff - Jen asked if I wanted to go with, but..I haven't the money, for one, and I don't want to miss like three days of classes like that ^^; ], I said you couldn't and he was like wellfine I don't like her now and I was like Taylor! you've never even talked to her shut up. But I guess he just likes giving you things cos he's all like, give this to Melissa!
"This Time Around" single (which I actually have one of already, but---!).
Signed by all three of them (which my original one isn't. *giggles*)
^____________________^
Happy happy day.

So, yeah, next few weekends are kinda busy again wheeeeee. *giggles* This weekend..
Friday, going to the Vagina Monologues with Britty - we went last year, and it was good, but, I don't really feel the need to see it again this year...only it's required for Lang. in Soc. So, yeah. *laughs* We're going.
Saturday, somehow dragging my sleepy arse outta bed in time to catch a bus at 8am to go to CLEVELAND WHAAAT!? *laughs* Cos like, one of the groups on-campus is running a bus to Cleveland art museum. $5 for the bus, admission to the museum is FREE.
^______^
So we're like scoooooore dude we should actually like, do this! *laughs* So we are, it'll be fun, we'll get back around like 9pm I think.
*Next* weekend is Little Siblings weekend, and merani's coming to visit which is awesome. ^________^ (hahahahaha you're little I laugh.) (oh yeah and thanks for the message on the phone. pest. :p ) But yeah that'll be fun, apart from arguing over the computer.
Oh feck this means I need to clean too doesn't it? >_<;
And the weekend following that is my band concert on Thursday and *also* on Thursday MEEEEEEGS IS COOOMMIIIIIINNNGGG WOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
^________^
So it's aaaaalllllll good.
Weekend after that is currently clear, and the one after that I'll be home again for spring break and I get to see my boy (and I *KNOW* I can't kiss you damnit but I'll still get to see you and that makes me happy ^_^) and s'all good.

And now... I have homework to, uh, start. *giggles* Damn. This entry got out of hand, I really *was* going to go to sleep early......
