DS has been updated with a good-sized handful of newness, including the sometimes quite hysterical results of my tutorial binge.
My most profound apologies for the ads you're greeted with there... stupid commercialization of the interwebs.
And it's late and I need to sleep and Tom's annoyed at me aaaaaack.
And to put my mind as well as probably yours, no I don't really look that old yet. Though it's just occurred to me.. I think my hair is rather Phisto. Hmm.
...And the pigtails just cos they were socute, hee.
I've gotten together a few of my supplies for Halloween - though I've yet to get wings to work on, and bring home the dress I need to adjust, and, oh hi, it would probably be a good idea for me to learn the freaking sewing machine... oh good lord time stop plzkthx. ANYWAY, hair/make-up test #1:
So, I need to obviously buy some real eye make-up in ridiculously overdone colors, and I also need to do something about my eyebrows. BUT, the base level of make-up is perfect (we stock professional grade stuff, made by Mehron, at work, so I splurged a bit on a stick of the palest skin tone we had), and the bit of shading I did with my old facepaint worked out quite nicely to make me look old and tired and things. (Also I realised, in the third shot? holy hell do I look like my grandma! had been suspecting I would, when I get old, but uh.. wow.) Also, the gold dust powder I picked up (also by Mehron) is FREAKING AMAZING. I got a bit on a cotton ball, just tipped the bottle upside-down with the ball over the top, y'know? And dabbed that on my face and it did a *perfect*, complete coat on my cheek and on my eye. Going to need to figure out how to tone down the high amount of yellow it lends, though.. but I suppose once I get some real make-up anyway I can make it all work together happily.
The hair, I did a bit more with after I took it off, but it seems I'll definitely have to get a can of black hairspray, in addition to the brown. I'm very happy that it's working out as well as I'd hoped, spraying it on looks a bit patchy, but since the stuff washes out, water will thin it quite nicely, and I've been able to make nice dark streaks, and worked it in, so it looks like dark roots coming through. And the length and the amount of curl is *just* what I wanted for this character I'm creating. :)
...oh, that's right, I hadn't mentioned. I'm finally getting my act together and being a Phisto of my own creation for Halloween this year. \0/
...anyone have anything to do on Halloween, btw? Prospects out here are looking pretty bleak, unless I follow some coworkers around the bars like a lonely lil puppydog, which is really not what I want to do.
I can't wait to work on my wings. *dances* They're going to be absolutely heartbreaking.
