You can download the four-album set (only one was put straight onto BitTorrent) off their site, DRM-free, even in FLAC if you want, for $5.
...so maybe this is how the revolution happens, it'll be the bands themselves that shrug off the bureacratic behemoth of The Music Industry.
I think the only thing missing is something in place that'll help sort the wheat from the chaff, something to sift through the 47389248392 high school bands and 65437908679 guys in their basement covering old rock songs and the 54323 freaking amazing groups.. but I think that'll come naturally. We do it already, by word of mouth, by blogs, and there are always music magazines, and websites, and whatever media outlet we happen to trust most.
